Look To The Horizon

I sense a big change coming on the horizon. We serve a mighty and awesome God!! I sense that the pieces are starting to fall into place – even though I am uncertain as to what exactly those pieces are.  Have you ever experienced that? When you read in the Old Testament whether it was Moses or the prophets, when God spoke, things happened in mighty ways: parting the Red Sea, killing Egypt’s first born, just to name a couple. We have a God who acts decisively and deliberately; One who judges and saves. Even if we don’t understand it completely in the moment – he always moves at the perfect time.

It’s now March and the winds are blowing. Jesus talked about the wind in John 3:8, “The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the spirit.” In context Jesus is speaking about the how Holy Spirit moves. I believe God’s will in our lives has a similar movement or action. I believe our prayers, actions and his invisible hand are the changes we see on the horizon.

What is the change? After going to India last month we have seen how Christ has grown the ministry there. We now see churches in two north eastern states formed, Bihar and Odisha. We also see the absolute need to garner support from churches here in the U.S. in order to sustain and help Grace Christian Ministry to grow.

I see God stirring in my wife, Jenn, who accompanied us on this mission trip. Her passion and pursuit of the Lord are unlike anything I have seen in her before. Tom May, who also was part of this team, is fired up with the same passion. It is so exciting!

These are the sort of things I mean when I say that I am sensing a change on the horizon. I pray that we would all be stirred and compelled to action. I pray that  God would move in mighty ways – specifically in support of the Great Commission in the nation of India.
